Featured DJ: Ashley Beedle
British DJ Ashley Beedle’s North Street West Remix of Groove Armada’s “Tripwire featuring Nick Littlemore” released in April 2020 is stand out track taken from the band’s ninth album “Edge of Horizon”.
Ashley Beedle gained his reputation as a member of Black Science Orchestra along with Rob Mello and John Howard who released several tracks in the 1990s such as a remix of The Trammp’s “Where Were You?” which gained the attention of legendary Chicago House DJ/Producer Frankie Knuckles and the classic “New Jersey Deep”.
Ashley has worked with Rocky & Diesel on a project know as The Ballistic Brothers and was part of X-Press 2 up to 2009. Their debut US single “The Sound” became a big dance hit, as was “Lazy” featuring David Byrne for which they won an Ivor Novello award in 2003.
Ashley is currently part of the North Street Collective with Jo Wallace and Darren Morris. They have been collaborating on some excellent projects and remixes such as “Burn” from Honey Dijon & Tim K featuring Jason Walker and Ashley Beedle & Waterson’s “Ego”.
