“Blue Lines”: 30 Year Anniversary

“Blue Lines”, the outstanding debut album from Massive Attack celebrates its 30th anniversary in April 2021. It was released by Wild Bunch and Virgin Records on on 8 April 1991.

“Blue Lines” is considered to be one of the first trip hop albums, a fusion of hip-hop, dub, reggae and soul - featuring the distinct vocals of Shara Nelson, Horace Andy and Tricky.

The album established Massive Attack as one of the most innovative British bands of the 1990s and is considered as one of the best dance albums of all time.
